Westcotts sponsor award for outstanding Devon agricultural business

At Westcotts, we’re proud to support agricultural businesses across the South West. In May we were delighted to sponsor the Agricultural Innovator Award, at the Devon Farm Business Awards.

The Devon Farm Business Awards are one of the main highlights of the farming year in the South-West. Held annually the awards offer an opportunity to boost the profile of this innovative industry, reward outstanding achievements and recognise the vital work farmers do.

A mixture of our colleagues and clients, including Peter Brown, Tom Stuckey and Mandy French, enjoyed an evening filled with good food and celebration.

The Agricultural Innovator award was given to the business demonstrating innovation through farming practice or successful diversification. Taverners Farm, who run Orange Elephant Ice Cream celebrated a win on the night. Previously a traditional dairy farm, the business has diversified to provide ice cream including via an ice cream drive through, farm walks and school visits.

At Westcotts, unlike other firms we offer consultancy service to help agricultural businesses plan and deal with structural issues alongside our more traditional services like VAT and annual accounts support. The team visit each business regularly to discuss developments and structural change on the farm to improve the business.
