Chris is a senior partner, and heads up the Exeter office business services team. This team provides accounting, tax and other related support to businesses ranging from start-up’s to corporates and groups with a turnover of £20M+.
He started his career in accountancy nearly 35 years ago, training with a small 5-partner firm. He then spent 18 years, mainly at partner level, working for top-10 national firms BDO and RSM, before relocating to Devon over 10 years ago when he joined Westcotts.
Particular areas of expertise include advice on business structure, grant funding, R&D Tax Credits and succession/retirement planning. His client base is diverse, but he has a particular expertise in advising and supporting manufacturing businesses. In addition, Chris has experience working with private equity backed businesses, and overseas groups with a UK presence.
A former season ticket holder at Rochdale AFC, Chris now supports his favourite football team from afar from his home in Devon.
