Education workshop hosted by Westcotts in partnership with local speakers.

Education leaders, academy trusts, and school business professionals are invited to join a practical and informative workshop focused on the latest financial, operational, HR, legal, and tax developments impacting the education sector. Designed to provide valuable sector insight and practical guidance, the session will help organisations navigate current challenges while planning confidently for the future.

Laura Fox, an Accredited School Resource Management Advisor will discuss Navigating Challenges and Financial Efficiency, sharing strategies for improving financial sustainability and operational effectiveness across schools and trusts and the transition from an SRMA to CFO. An IT support specialist, Acronyms will explore Building a Strong Foundation and Engaging Your People, focusing on how strong IT infrastructure and staff engagement can support organisational resilience and the use of AI.

Westcotts Chartered accountants will also provide a general Tax/VAT update relevant to the education sector, with discussions around trading income, business expenditure and VAT exemptions. The Education Team from Wolferstans will deliver a HR and Legal update covering key topics such as Employment Rights Act developments, managing long-term absence, complaints and redundancies/restructures.
