Westcotts colleagues enjoy summer of fundraising

Westcotts colleagues have been busy this summer fundraising for their five chosen charities for 2024/25. The charities are Exeter Leukaemia Fund, Spark UK, Hospiscare, Woodside Animal Welfare Trust, and Brainwave.

This year teams across the South West had already taken part in running a bingo event and a sky dive, raising thousands of pounds in the process. Over the past few months, colleagues have come together with our clients and local community to raise money for these good causes to support their vital work.

In June, six colleagues tackled the Three Peaks Challenge – scaling the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales – to raise money for Woodside Animal Welfare Trust. In total they raised an amazing £4000 for the charity to support its work in rehoming animals in Plymouth.

In July, the Barnstaple and Holsworthy teams walked 16 miles in aid of Spark UK, from Barnstaple to Ilfracombe. The 9 team members raised over £325 to support the charity continue its work to help young people have conversations around their mental health.

Later in the month the Bridgwater office hosted a mouse racing event evening, raising money for the charity Brainwave. In total the team raised £960 for the charity to continue to support children with disabilities achieve greater independence.

At Westcotts, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work. More fundraising events are in the pipeline, including a quiz night and Raffle at Exeter Golf and Country Club, date to be confirmed so keep your eyes peeled.
