Westcotts support new generation of football talent

At Westcotts we are delighted to announce our sponsorship of Alphington Football Club’s under 16 Barcelona tour.

Alphington FC located near our Exeter office is a unique football club with over 100 years history in the local community playing football and supporting local events and activities. Taking place in July (8^th-12^th), the tour will see 20 players and four coaches take the trip to Barcelona where they will play several Spanish youth football teams. The team will also have some time to explore the sights of Barcelona.

This contribution builds on Wescotts support of the club and marks the latest investment from Westcotts in supporting local sporting clubs, after last year sponsoring Bridgwater United FC for a second season.

Becky Hayes, Partner and Head of VAT based in the Exeter office said: “It’s great to be able to support Alphington Youth Football under 16’s Team’s tour to Barcelona and this next generation of football talent. My son plays for the team and I know all of them are really looking forward to the experience and challenge of playing abroad.

“At Westcotts we are committed to supporting our local communities and we have been investing in the club for a number of years. I know that the sponsorship was really appreciated and allowed the team to purchase a brand-new kit for the tour”.
