Westcotts grow Plymouth services with two promotions
We are please to announce that Beckie Cox and Emma Mills have been promoted to Director in the Plymouth office.
This set of promotions marks the continued growth of the Corporate Team in Plymouth, supporting the firm’s success in delivering audit, accountancy and tax services to a growing number of local clients, across a variety of sectors. The firm continues to relish the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the city as clients turn to Westcotts for the balance between deep technical expertise and a genuinely personal and pragmatic service.
Emma Mills joined the Westcotts family in 2023 as an audit manager. Since then, she has supported a range of large corporate clients with their associated audit, tax and accounts services, leveraging the broader expertise within the Westcotts family. Her audit and assurance experience spans over a decade and comes from several roles in other accountancy firms.
Emma currently serves as an independent trustee for the audit committee at the Arts University Plymouth and in her spare time enjoys coaching a youth football team.
Emma said: “I have spent 10 years working in audit and feel very privileged to have had access to some incredible experiences as a result. Every client is different and supporting businesses in this position of trust means I’ve been able to learn how each business works which has been fascinating. Being able to make a positive difference to a client through truly understanding what they do, how they do it and what their goals are is very rewarding.
“This promotion to Director will give me an opportunity to tackle new challenges and contribute strategically to the business in a more impactful way. I’m also looking forward to having a greater voice to celebrate and advocate for some of the incredible staff here at Westcotts.”
Beckie Cox joined Westcotts over 7 years ago as a graduate. Her role involves supporting clients in sectors such as professional services, charities and academies. As part of her promotion to Director, she will now oversee a team that provides exceptional service to her portfolio of clients.
Beckie said: “I love my role because I am able to create trusted relationships with my clients and staff that go beyond my professional duties, which makes the process that much more enjoyable. My journey so far has taught me the importance of listening, supporting and empathising with my clients.
“I’m excited for the opportunities to come within my role as a Director including guiding new and existing clients through their growth journey, ensuring our firm remains inclusive and continues to invest in people. I look forward to continuing to enhance my business acumen within the corporate space and beyond.’’
