Client Story – Far Frontiers Travel

Far Frontiers Travel, run by Fiona Brijnath, is a bespoke travel company which offers personal travel experiences, operating from offices based in an idyllic rural setting within Dartmoor National Park in Devon.

Four years ago, Fiona was looking for a local accountancy firm that was approachable, jargon free and which offered a personal service. She found Westcotts, and the rest is history so to speak!

Since then, the Westcotts team, led by Sarah Watts, Partner at Westcotts, have been providing tailored accountancy support to the business, which looks after your holiday arrangements from start to finish – whether that’s an adventure in the great outdoors, culture, history, or just relaxation and pampering.

Fiona Brijnath, Founder of Far Frontiers Travel said, “The Westcotts team have made the accountancy process as painless as possible. I really appreciate being able to go into the local Westcotts office, and speak to Sarah, who is able to explain things to me in plain English. I really feel that the team support me and are working with me to help my business succeed.”

The company is ATOL registered which brings with it new challenges around financial reporting. Sarah has worked closely with Fiona and the team to update their accountancy systems to report in line with the requirements and deadlines set by the Civil Aviation Authority. And at the end of each financial year, Sarah makes sure that the business has met the criteria set as part of the renewal process for the ATOL license, to ensure they can continue to provide the best service to their customers.

Sarah Watts, Partner working from the Okehampton office said “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed supporting Fiona through her business journey. She is extremely passionate about the service she delivers to her clients, curating the ultimate bespoke holiday package, and I’m pleased that the accountancy systems we’ve put in place together has helped her to deliver this.”
