Westcotts hosts packed charity seminar

Earlier this month our charity specialists at Westcotts held a seminar to bring together those who work in the sector, clients and new faces alike. The event offered an opportunity for attendees to hear from our experts on a range of issues that are impacting the sector.

The event was packed with over 50 people in attendance, a mix of solicitors, trustees and existing clients. Presentations covered four topics – VAT for charities, the difficulties in recruiting and retaining trustees, charity investing and ESG considerations, highlighting the increasing importance of ESG within the sector.

Hear attendees share their thoughts on the day…

We are proud to have a strong team here at Westcotts who can offer personal and specialist advice and support to charities. Supporting the charity sector is an important part of our offering and this free charity seminar is just one way we like to give back.

Cat Williams, Partner and Head of Charities and Not for Profit at Westcotts said: “It was lovely to bring so many people together for our charity seminar and I was delighted by the positive response in the room.

“The seminar not only provided an opportunity to hear from our experts but also offered a chance for attendees to talk to other people in the sector and share their experiences. It was encouraging to see the amount of discussion and information sharing that was going on at each of the tables between presentations.”
