Westcotts Charity Golf Day raises over £5,000 for South West MS Centre
Westcotts, has raised more than £5000 for the South West MS Centre at its annual Charity Golf Day.
The event took place in the spectacular and challenging setting of Bovey Castle Golf Course and brought together clients, colleagues and local businesses for a day of friendly competition and fundraising.
Thanks to the generosity of participants and sponsors, the funds raised will go directly towards the work of the South West MS Centre supporting individuals living with multiple sclerosis and other long term health conditions across the region.
The morning’s dry start set the tone for an enjoyable day that combined great golf with an important cause. And despite rain later in the day, spirits remained high as teams completed the course and celebrated another successful event.
Jon Mitchell, Partner at Westcotts, said: “Our Charity Golf Day has become a highlight of the year for the firm and our clients and we’re thrilled to have raised such a fantastic amount for the South West MS Centre.
“The support from everyone involved was incredible and we are very proud to be able to make a contribution that will make a real difference to people in our local community.”
Caroline Aird, CEO of the South West MS Centre, said: “The Golf Day is a highlight in our fundraising calendar and we are very grateful for the support from Westcotts, the teams, sponsors and our members in once again achieving a fantastic total on the day.
“Every penny really does count in order that we can continue to offer low cost hyperbaric oxygen therapy and physiotherapy for our members”
