Meet the Funders and Professionals

Property investors and developers from across the South West will get the chance to meet with funders and fellow professionals at an event in Plymouth next month, which is being sponsored and co-hosted by Westcotts.

A panel of experts, including several finance providers, will be speaking and hosting question and answer sessions at the conference organised by commercial brokers Balance for Business being held at Boringdon Park Golf Club on Wednesday 8 March.

Leading advisers, including a team of experts from Westcotts led by partner Jon Stacey, will be on-hand to give advice and support to delegates when it comes to all aspects of property deals, their portfolios and potential investment opportunities.

Dave Ottley, Managing Director of Balance for Business, said: “We’re delighted to welcome the Westcotts team to our select panel this year and they will form a fundamental part of this event. Their expert knowledge, coupled with their client-centric approach really does make them an integral part of our power team of professional partners for 2023.”

He added: “Planning and tax advice is crucial to the success of property focussed businesses in the South West and Westcotts consistently demonstrates an ability to break through the complex issues and jargon, to explain extremely complicated issues in an easy-to-understand manner, that leaves investors and developers fully informed and supported to make key decisions in their business.”

The aim of the full-day event is to help attendees get more information through a series of presentations and provide further opportunities for networking and relationship building.

Jon Stacey, a partner in Westcotts’ Plymouth office, said, “This event will give people a real insight into what’s happening in the property market in the region, and nationally, and we’re very much looking forward to being involved as sponsors and co-hosts. Bringing together some of the key players in property, from funders to investors, lawyers, developers and landlords, as well as other professionals will give the chance for those attending to grow their knowledge and benefit from a better understanding of what the future looks like.

“Attendees will have direct access to key members of our team at Westcotts to ask us questions about what is directly important to them and help them plan for the future – hopefully a real advantage, especially following a tough few years for the property market.”

Other presenters and professionals involved include Shawbrook Bank, Octane Capital, Ortus Commercial Finance, Exeter Finance, Bright Solicitors and Wolferstans Solicitors. Balance for Business hopes to schedule further events later this year and in the future.
