Westcotts is a Top 50 + 50 Accountancy Practice and Real Living Wage Employer with over 280 team members based in 16 offices across Devon and Somerset.

We are currently looking for a Bookkeeper to join us in our Honiton office to support the team in providing an effective bookkeeping service to our clients. Full-time or part-time applications will be considered.

Main Duties

The main duties (but not limited to) are the following:

  • Providing bookkeeping services
  • Ensuring that accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date
  • Dealing with the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns
  • Complying with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements
  • General admin duties to provide support to the Partner, Managers and the office
  • Assignments undertaken in the office and at client’s premises

  • Experience of delivering exceptional customer service in an office-based working environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven accuracy and an eye for detail
  • Ability to learn new IT skills quickly
  • Experience of working in a practice-based environment preferred but not essential

Terms / Benefits

  • 36.25 hours / 5 days per week full-time however part time hours / days can also be considered
