Westcotts Somerset team go blue for Weston Hospicecare

Westcotts’ Somerset team turned blue earlier this month in support of Weston Hospicecare, the firm’s Charity of the Year for its Somerset offices.

Taking part in the local ‘Blue for You Week’ campaign, the team raised over £600 – more than double their original £250 target – through a week of fun fundraising activities.

Highlights included themed events across the Somerset offices including a ‘wear it blue’ day, ‘bring your blue bakes’, ‘blue bingo’ and ‘guess the blue sweets’, all helping to bring the team together for a good cause.

It culminated in Partner and Head of Audit, Peter Lomax, transforming into ‘Blue Peter’ for the day – sporting a vibrant blue beard and eyebrows to help boost donations.

Weston Hospicecare is a fantastic Charity, which has been serving the local community for more than 35

years. It provides essential care and support for people with life-limiting conditions and their families in Weston-super-Mare and across North Somerset.

The funds raised by Westcotts will go directly towards helping the hospice continue its work within the local community.

“It is a wonderful and much-loved charity locally which makes such a difference to so many local families. It was fantastic to see colleagues come together throughout the week, have fun and raise funds for a cause that means so much to our community.”
